Debunking A Creation Cartoon

Just my attempt to debunk an anti-Scineces and Pro-Creation cartoon.

This cartoon is trying to make the girl who's for evolution look stupid by going on about how complexes the butterfly really is and giving it credit to evolution. When In fact it’s showing off what a fool the writer of this comic really is. What this cartoon really is saying is that all you need to do is look at something and say GOD DID IT! The age old argument that if something is complexes then it must have bin built. If you’re going to work in sciences you can’t just simply look at something and then form a theory. You have to gather evidences and then put it to the test first such as are there any insects that have a strong possibility of being the butterfly ancestor or does its DNA have any similarities with other living insects today? Even if you have trouble finding this evidence it still not enough to over throw the mountain of evidences for evolution.

First of all this cartoon tries to combines the Bing Bang Theory and the origin of life with Evolution. Neither of which have anything to do with Evolution. Evolution only explains the diversity of life and not how it or the Universe began.

 

Seconded, Its funny our Creationist "Wiz kid" declares that Dinosaurs just "got there" when in truth that what Creationist actually believe. Pluses, I hate to break to it the kid but yeah, people have dunged up Dinosaurs. (We were all taught this in per-school) I find it more sad then funny that people actually would pretend there are no bones or remains found of these animals.

(Sigh) The reason why don’t declare that quarters evolved from teeth is because quarters are not a living organism that can reproduces Quarters cant mate or pollinate Thus they can not have the exchange of DNA that can cause a mutation needed for evolution. Also let’s go back to that part about simply using the bible as the explanation why Evolution is wrong. Is that really a good source of evidences? A book that has bin translated for thousands of years into different languages, with thousands of different interpretations and now with new rejected gospels being found. So which bible is right? Then which interpretations of that bible is the right one? Before they can answer those questions they still have to deal with the thousands of other holy writings that also declare the world was made by there God or Gods. So why not use the Koran, The book of Mormons, The Vedas, or even the stories found in Greek mythology? Would the writer laugh at me if I use Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita as my evidences to debunk an answer to a math problem? So ask your self why is it okay for our creation wiz kids to use the bible and God as there big claim to debunk evolution?

Good, but I think it's a little....useless....trying to debunk a friggin comic strip. I mean, the fact that they're trying to make them funny necessarily entails that they're setting up a strawman of evolution, just like the people that draw political cartoons set up caricatures of politicians, exaggerating their features and characteristics. If you want to really refute creationism, I'd suggest debunking a serious "scientific" creationist article. Unless of course, some loony creationist tries to shove one of these cartoons in your face. Then I'd let 'em have it

Quite honestly, I don't see what in hell the butterfly one does for the creationist cause. I interpret it as pro evolution.
