Centauro
I have heard that when our Federal elected officials are sworn in to office in Washington DC, they use a Jefferson Bible instead of the KJV. Is that true? I would think that tradtional/conservative christians and especially fundamentalist christians would be outraged considering how Jefferson took what he thought was the best parts of bible and made his own, based on his deism. Anybody aware of this?

RationalOkie
Not sure, but they reported that Obama was sworn in using the Lincoln bible which I assume was the KJ version.
Guest
IDK if congress uses the Jefferson bible, but I have a copy of it on my bookshelf, and it is only about 60 pages! It is pocket sized too, looks like "A Letter to a xtian Nation".
