Naughtyhamster Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 After checking out every store at a local mall for some new rainboots I decided to just settle on a pair of plain black ones from Wal-Mart as every pair I had looked at were too expensive, big, or looked flimsy. While shopping at Wal-Mart for other items I had a good idea of decorating my rainboots with glittery stickers and glitter paint. If any of it falls off I'll just replace them with the extra stickers I have. I chose glittery plastic stickers as I figured out they would last longer and they are shiny enough to be seen if I'm caught out at night in a rainstorm.

noob Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I think they are cute, functional, and fun!!! Great job!
foolish girl Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 "not to be snide" means..." I am about to be snide"...just own it. 1

Actually all the glitter and shine is for mostly safety purposes as I walk home from work or the bus stop at night. Hopefully the stickers are bright enough for drivers to see in my neighborhood as the lights aren't too bright in the residential areas.
ilovemybrain Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Rain boots are never the height of fashion, but if you're the sparkly type, they're much more fashionable with sparkly stickers. Cute!
Overcame Faith Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 They remind me of Harry Potter attire. I know a lot about Harry Potter attire because I have bought a lot of it for my daughter. I like them and so would my daughter.

I got "gardening boots" ( they even had sizes for toddlers at the store I went to) as the rain boots sold at the Wal-Mart in my area were flimsy or had the "Barbie" logo across the side. These rubber boots for gardening and yard work are quite rugged and made in USA so I know they will last a long time.
