♦ nivek ♦ Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 World’s most precise clocks could reveal universe is a hologramWired “Our existence could be coded in a finite bandwidth, like a live ultra-high-definition 3-D video. And the third dimension we know and love could be no more than a holographic projection of a 2-D surface. A scientist’s $1 million experiment, now under construction in Illinois, will attempt to test these ideas by the end of next year using what will be two of the world’s most precise clocks.” (10/28/10) tinyurl.com/25rjo9f
Guest Babylonian Dream Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I can't wait to hear the critics if it reveals that the universe isn't a hologram.
par4dcourse Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I read that article this morning, but didn't really get the principle. They're trying to measure particles smaller than the Planck Constant? To whoever is running the projector: If this is a hologram I want to be taller and younger and richer.

And zap me back in time to go to Alexandria, help them boost ahead before the library burns. At the same time as reading the books there. Though allow me to be modern lol.
Komadori Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 ...Is it bad that this was the second thing that came to mind when reading this thread? The first? Star Trek's holodeck, of course. ...Our genes are coded. Doesn't make anything less real.
