Benyan Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 The China Catholic church ordained priest without consent from the Pope of Roman. Roman catholic blame China lack of religious freedom. Does this means China Catholic is not Catholic? Christian in China can observe mass, worship, baptism sunday school. Christian can do whatever like Christian in Hong Kong, except they cnnot form mega church. I curious what is real religious freedom in christian's eye.
andyjj Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 My understanding is that the "Catholic Church" in China is not the Catholic ChurchTM but a state approved body. I don't think the Chinese state likes the Eschatalogical message of Christianity. I always thought that the Marxist concept of 'revolution' was very similar to the 'second coming' and/or establishment of the New Kingdom in Christianity - its not surprising that there is some conflict there
