"She Grins a Ghastly Smile"

An ocean's bitter taste unchanged

Cold, alone, outside in falling rain

A staggered shuffle, sliding passed

On the sands of broken glass

Growing older now

Turning pale

Feeling frail

Growing old with her

and now we're sick and ugly

failing, falling down

We view the sun set into night

She sighs as the feeling drowns

As my eyes settle into sight

We wait for the tide to go down

My eyelids are heavy

Her feet are swelling now

This time I am ready

To walk the checkered tile

The tremor turning steady

As she grins a ghastly smile

"Skies Inside"

Skies inside

the sun she beams

In my arms

unlocks the dream

An angel's touch

no cold embrace

Hand on heart

and face to face

A kiss as long as time

we wait

One last glance

then suffocate

With tears of joy

she weeps for more

Knowing full well

we're at death's door

"The Red Death"

Climb into the oven with me

Dine with the mother of peace

Sink into the comfort of her dreams

Stare at the borders of her being

Slip from the haven of our means

Flight of this quest to be free

Glide on the feathers of my wings

Escape from the fabric of our weave

Fear is just a fragment from the past

Hope was just a slipper made of glass

Things as this are never meant to last

This fleeting moment moves much too fast

We are refugees from the mass

Who hide our sorrows here in this masque

Glide on the feathers of my wings

Escape from the fabric of our weave

Forget all the things we have seen

Forsake all the comforts we could bring

Listen as the universe sings

Pleasured by a heartless libertine

Partaking from the chalice as it steams

Arousing is the plumage she preens

Glide on the feathers of my wings

Escape from the fabric of our weave
