It will probably be fruitless but what the heck, it is always fun to plant the seed of doubt: So if god created all the people in his image and likeness and god also declared that because of that incident with Adam and Eve that we are all sinners, then god must be a sinner also? No? If I was created in god's image and likeness (LIKE god) then I would be born without sin if god is also without sin. Therefore god must be sinful if I am born as a sinner and also in god's image and likeness. Or else one one of those bible passages is wrong. The inconsistency in the tale is that the sinless creation himself invited sin into the world, thus condemning all future humans - but the creator knew in advance that this would happen.
