My thinking when I'd hear those kind of responses would be, "if we aren't willing to question our religion, how do we know we aren't sending ourselves to hell by unquestioningly following the wrong one?"

Well, I'm sorry, but if Christianity was the absolute truth that proponents claim it to be, then it could withstand a little scrutiny.

 

Yeah, if it's the truth, then they've got nothing to worry about. Researching christianity or any other subject should only confirm your beliefs if it's the truth, not make you doubt even more.
