Jesus w as almost certainly a cannabis user and an early proponent of the medicinal properties of the drug, according to a study of scriptural texts published this month. The study suggests that Jesus and his disciples used the drug to carry out miraculous healings.

wow,,,, something new each day?

Too bad no one knew you could smoke it until Europeans met the native American tribes. Wait! Is this why Mormons believe Jesus visited America? Whoa!

Highly unlikely. If Jesus existed at all then the narratives about Jesus were written long after he was dead. I can't say that people who wrote the Bible or even the people mentioned in the Bible who actually existed didn't use any kind of drug. However there are non-drug induced hallucinations as well.

I must say that even your theory is better than this ridiculous connection.

Was Jesus a pothead? Was Jesus a homosexual? Was Jesus a role model for Nazi storm trooper? Was Jesus a communist? Was Jesus a revolutionary like Che? Was Jesus a black African persecuted by racist Jews? Was Jesus a muslim prophet persecuted by evil Jews?

It goes on and on and on...

I've always said this. IF jesus ever existed...which I doubt... he got everyone around him high as fuck to get them to believe his "miracles". I'm thinking something stronger than cannabis, however. Psilocybin Mushrooms comes to mind, considering LSD wasn't invented yet.
