J.W. Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Im still buying shit I threw away in a Christian fit-- fuck its expensive! but.... 'Nine Inch Nails: the Downward Spiral' is on its way. Amazon's autorip feature is awesome- you get the CD plus get to rip the MP3's instantaneously
greylight Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Nice. I didn't end up deleting my xian music or anything. I still enjoy it from time to time, I don't really listen to the overtly religious stuff anymore though like Jars of Clay and David Crowder Band. I still like my Skillet and Relient K though.

I still love Relient K too. And Anberlin. And Capital Lights. I usually just listen to spotify at home and the radio in the car. Music is expensive
wanderinstar Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Stupid cult convinced me to literally smash nearly 100 of my precious CD's, so I feel your pain JW! Slowly I am restoring my collection AND getting up to speed in what has been happening musically since I was plunged into the dark ages in 2001. Nine Inch Nails is on my list too; that is one fine album, The Downward Spiral. Seems I have developed a serious allergy to all christian music so while I haven't discarded all those CD's I have deleted them from my itunes, which is what I generally play my music from. Having played almost nothing but christian music for many years I think I've filled my quota for life! 1
waitingongod Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Amazon has $5 mp3 every month, there's usually at least a few worth getting, and it makes building that library a little cheaper.
movingon Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 People still buy music? yes Christians have to buy the music, otherwise its theft :-P also some of us are weird and like to have a hard copy of the music, like me. I realy didn't go on a music smashing fit. Couldn't really without my parents noticing since I still lived at home when I deconverted.

It was cheaper to buy the hard copy, it was a dollar less, and I got to rip it instantly. I have prime so I have free shipping-- I have gotten a few CD's for $5.99-- got to love free 2 day shipping
