Jose
Swanson: I’m beginning to get some evidence from certain doctors and certain scientists that have done research on women’s wombs after they’ve gone through the surgery, and they’ve compared the wombs of women who were on the birth control pill to those who were not on the birth control pill. And they have found that with women who are on the birth control pill, there are these little tiny fetuses, these little babies, that are embedded into the womb. They’re just like dead babies. They’re on the inside of the womb. And these wombs of women who have been on the birth control pill effectively have become graveyards for lots and lots of little babies. http://www.peacock-panache.com/2013/02/radio-host-kevin-swanson-wombs-of-women.html
MissingLink
This would be laughable if it weren't for this past election season when we saw so many male elected officials spout off some other craziness about women's bodies in their efforts to restrict/ban reproductive choices for women! I looked up his background and - no surprise - he was homeschooled and is homeschooling his own 5 children. But how can he just say this stuff with no evidence to back it up and just expect people to believe it??......Oh....wait.....
◊ crazyguy123 ◊
Wow, a tiny mass of cells stuck together isn't anywhere near being a human baby. I agree with Julilyn. This guy sounds so crazy, that it would be hilarious if it weren't for other equally crazy-sounding people being elected officials.
HymenaeusAlexander
But how can he just say this stuff with no evidence to back it up and just expect people to believe it??......Oh....wait..... What do you mean "no evidence"? He clearly mentions "certain doctors and scientists." You can go right to his website and see where he's provided links to peer-reviewed articles in various scientific journals and other relevant ob/gyn literature showing that, contrary to the findings of many decades of research and ordinary observations about basic anatomy and everything you learned in health class in the sixth grade, the uterus does not repeatedly expel and replace its lining. Turns out women just bleed from their lady bits to let us know when they are unclean and cannot appear before Yahweh. Nah, I'm just kidding. Those scientists don't have time to write articles for peer review. These guys are the same scientists who are the ones that Todd Akin consults. They're the same ones who found Joshua's missing day by backing up the cosmic clock on a computer. They're also the same ones drilling in Siberia who heard the screams of the dead in hell. They're much too busy to contribute to journals.

Ravenstar
ummm.... the pill works by NOT allowing the zygote to implant into the uterine wall, that's what I was told. Great.. now he's going to traumatize women by making them think they have dead babies inside them... that's abhorrent. Again, what's wrong with these people? pandora
I laughed until I cried when I first read that quote a few weeks ago. Seriously? The imagery just makes me laugh my ass off! The pill usually prevents ovulation, so there are no tiny zygotes to begin with, and if there are, they are unable to implant in the lining and are flushed out with the next MP. I'd love to see the source of where this guy got this info and see how he twisted it to "graveyard of tiny babies." ROFL

ExCBooster
Heh. That article's one of the craziest things I've read in a while. And I've read (part of) that timecube page. Hey, while we're at it, what does he think of the God that surely sanctioned things like intrauterine cannibalism? Or rabbits flipping out and eating their leverets? I just completely fail to get these people who try to define things in terms of some "natural" and "God-given" morality. Especially since the evidence is right there in our faces that nature runs on a "I'm bigger than you and I'm hungry" basis when it comes to an awful lot of things humans take for granted, like, you know, helping each other, individually. Except, sometimes,

Except, sometimes, There is a lot about issues like this which apply to primates (including people) in Hrdy's book Mother Nature. Abandonment, occasional infanticide, infant theft and "aunting to death," protective caring both individually and communally... all of these can be observed in many species, including ours. The comparisons and details are pretty interesting, though disturbing at times.
Thackerie
I saw this quoted on the Fundies Say the Darndest Things website (click here for hilarious comments from anti-fundies) earlier this month. I commented that it was the most disgusting thing I had ever read on that site. Then someone alerted me to a fundie quote I must have missed — the one suggesting that women be kept drugged and hooked up to machines so they could be in an endless cycle of pregnancy and childbirth. Ewwwwwww!
stryper
More proof that a certain percentage of men are prepared to only see woman as valuable in terms of their ability and willingness to breed. The willingness part is optional with them too. http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Marital_rape#Countries_that_do_not_recognize_marital_rape People like Phyllis Schlafly believe that a husband is entitled to have sex with his wife any time he wants, and that her unwillingness to have sex with him would not justify a charge of rape, since to Phyllis and her ilk, marriage implies automatic and perpetual consent (until she files for divorce, at least).
