◊ crazyguy123 ◊
I'm not sure exactly why I decided to share it here, but I thought that maybe someone else other than me would like it. This song is extremely morbid and probably depressing, so read it at your own emotional risk. Voice of Darkness All of the talking heads Told me that I was dead And needed to be revived Their lies were easy to believe Because stress in my life And events in my past that left me traumatized Killed the human I used to be I felt the darkness closing in I was holding onto hope that up above I had a father living in the sky Who would illuminate my path with light But faith only kept me blind… The voice of Darkness Is calling out my name It says not to be afraid This most certainly is not a game The dark abyss is where you belong The demon living in me Grew in strength with each day All of the terrible things it made me say Frightened everyone away Religion was supposed to be the cure It was supposed to eliminate my demon Instead it brought out the worst in me I became consumed by bigotry My faith only added fuel to the fire in my soul The voice of Darkness Is calling out my name It says not to be afraid This most certainly is not a game The dark abyss is where you belong Destruction and death made me grin I was trapped in a war I could not win My evil thoughts were in control Made me appear as though I had no soul They made me curse and spread hate Then weep later on When deep within my soul I was overcame with remorse My demon grew like cancer Religion only made it grow The deadly cells spread Ringing alarm bells inside my head Filling me with dread The voice of Darkness Is calling out my name It says not to be afraid This most certainly is not a game The dark abyss is where you belong When I discovered my faith was leading me astray Religion was stripped away Tearing the demon off of me Leaving pieces behind And I hoped the demon would never find Me ever again But the cancer cells are growing back The darkness is seeping through the cracks And Darkness is calling out my name The voice of Darkness Is calling out my name It says not to be afraid This most certainly is not a game THE DARK ABYSS IS WHERE YOU BELONG Darkness is reaching I don’t know if I can resist I am growing weak and in need of rest The shadows in the abyss Appear so inviting to me Darkness is calling out my name It says not to be afraid This most certainly is not a game The dark abyss is where you belong
wanderinstar
I am a bit of a muso and reading these lyrics I hear them being rapped rather than sung. Not that I am usually into rap though so I can't help you with the style of rapping. The lyrics are really good. If you found backing music for them you would probably find the few places that need work to turn it into a great song!
◊ crazyguy123 ◊
Rapping isn't really something that I am interested in. In my opinion, it would sound better if these lyrics were sung by a vocalist with a frightening sounding voice and scary music would be perfect for it, in my opinion. I think I can hear it; a song so freaky most couldn't listen to it with the lights out.

I don't know how to play any instruments that I could create scary music with, I'm not a good vocalist, and I'm not a song writer for a band that plays scary music.
