Goodbye Jesus

Oh Noes! They Didn't Mention God In A Beer Commercial!

I'd be tempted to go out and buy a six pack, but I'm not a big beer drinker, and I prefer Shiner Bock anyway. Also, I'm sane, so I don't care whether or not they mention God in their ads. Sam Adams is good on tap though, so if I'm ever in the Boston area again I'm sure I'll have a few.

I have a feeling that if they had mentioned God, some Christard would be bitching and moaning about that too.

Sam Adams is my go to when at a restaurant that has the usual common shit fare. I can't say I really care for many of their beers, except they have some good seasonal/limited edition releases. And the Boston Lager isn't bad on tap.

It is funny how Christards find some way to be offended. They'll get all pissed at Sam Adams over this and take to Facebook and then I'm sure half will be defending Paula Deen on her FB next.

Sam Adams says they were just following regulations? The National SOCIALISTS said they were just following orders.

*snicker*

I don't like beer usually, but I'm tempted to buy a six pack over this.

Come to think of it, this sounds like a fun opportunity for atheists to go 'Chick-fil-a' on xtians. Does a Sam Adams appreciation day sound in order?

More lulz for my day.

Because the founding fathers made America a Christian country I drink Jesus Christ Lager! I also drink Jesus Christ Lite (before church) because it has that smooth Godly taste of the of the lager but only half the calories. So make sure you have a six-pack ready when you're gonna sit down and watch 10 hours of Fox News ... this aint no liberal beer.

I just find it so laughable that they think their imaginary friend matters so much. How much has their fervent prayer and perfect faith done to help anyone in particular? When I look around I don't see any of these god botherers doing anything to improve this country, just sitting back and finding someone else to blame. and of course taking the easy excuse that God is punishing them for allowing anything other than their preferred brand of religion/"morality" to exist.

I would be a lot more kind to them if they were protesting in the streets over the NSA scandal rather than getting all huffy about the founding fathers being mis-quoted. one thing is a hell of a lot more important than the other. but all they care about is keeping up appearances and never about actually doing something useful.

I still see crap on my facebook like "which president do you think was better. comment for obama like for bush" when both of those scumbags wiped their ass with the constitution. It only matters what fucking sports team logo/political symbols/groups you side with these days. not any real beliefs or convictions.

I'm so sick of this world and the fucked up people in it.  My country is going down in flames while people get pissed off over a fucking beer commercial...

Yeah, I've always heard that Sam Adams doesn't travel well. It was pretty great on tap in Boston, but I don't drink it often here in Texas. Their seasonal brews are excellent.

I've never had any Sam Adams that I considered to be a good beer. That shit is highly overrated simply because its highly over advertised.

Every time I see the commercial with that dude burying his face in a pile of hops and sniffing them, I imagine him doing that to a pile of cow shit. Cuz that's exactly what the aftertaste of their beer tastes like.

Sorry, peeps, I'm with the christians on this one. I'll put a good word in for jesus before I'll say anything good about this beer.

What amazes me is I didn't realize that so many Christians were beer drinkers!  Has something changed since I was a fundy?  Alcohol was pretty much a big no no.  The Christian WND comments would seem to indicate otherwise.  And since when was "endowed by their Creator" a Christian reference?  It is Deist in nature.  The Christo-fascists dominating the comments section of WND truly scare me.

Plus I feel a whole lot stupider for reading that story!

I don't get the beer-snobbery here.  I'm sure Samuel Adams isn't up to Craft Beer™ standards, but it beats the hell outta Budweiser or the like.

This, exactly.

I think this might be a major, under-the-radar, reason Christianity isn't so good for mental health. (Aside from the self-hate, victim blaming and general pessimism, of course.) There's way too many things they have to get worked up about. If every little thing is a call to arms in the culture war, it's easy to imagine getting burned out and depressed. Not to mention just trapped in a tiny cultural box for all eternity. There's too many things in life just not worth getting my knickers in a twist over.

Well, to be fair WND is a Christo-fascist website pretty much.

as for alcohol it all depends on your denomination. baptists consider it a sin. catholics (which my denomination didn't even consider christians at all but nothing special about one denomination thinking that about another...) that I know pretty much all drink. and I'm sure there's more than a few protestant denominations that couldn't care less.

in the end I don't think any christian really gives two shits about following church doctrine instead of just appearing to be righteous. and even if they do care it's all out of fear.  They have to get upset over things like this because its very existence is a thoughtcrime and if they don't oppose it they are making god angry at them and who knows what might happen to them then... so better get in line with what other christtards/their pastor is doing or else. When you believe that everything bad that has happened to you in your life was God's will, or because you were in some way disobedient to god it does terrible things to you and makes you not even think twice about what you do/say about people that you don't consider to be "brothers/sisters in christ".

at least that's my experience.

God damn, and I thought the Oreos freak out was the most ridiculous Christian consumer-related thing ever.

Those Xtians just need to chill out with a beer.  They should go to their favorite church to find out WWJD (What Would Jesus Drink?)

I think Sam Adams Lite is one of the best light beers out there.  That may not be saying much as most light beers are frighteningly bad.  (And that's an extreme understatement.)

It's funny how so many patriot/fundies claim to know what the revolutionaries would have thought. Honestly, I think anyone who could get offended over this must be drunk.

I wanted to vote, but there's no way I'm signing up for an account on WND! Even when I was a fundamentalist I thought those people were nuts!
