Goodbye Jesus

Tell Me Your Experiences Of Ufos, Esp, Etc.

directionless

Recommended Posts

I'm curious to hear anecdotes from others who have experienced UFOs, ESP, or anything else weird.

But in addition I would like to know how you reconcile these experiences with the common theories of reality? (especially materialism)

Thanks in advance for any replies. I will start with one of my weird experiences.

A few years ago I was looking out my window into the sunny cloudless sky when I noticed a shiny object moving slowly in a straight line. The object was far away, but it looked very strange like an upside down shiny bucket. I watched it for a few seconds trying to understand what I was seeing, then I ran into my bedroom to get my camera bag-. I knew the object was too distant to photograph, but I thought I could use the zoom lens to see it better. When I returned the object was still moving as before. Then I hurriedly opened the camera bag and took out my camera, but the object was suddenly gone.

The fact that the object suddenly vanished in the few seconds it took to get my camera out of the bag convinced me that this was not a normal object like a helicopter, airplane, or balloon. Also, I felt like the UFO had somehow been watching me and did not want to risk being photographed.

Here is what it looked like:

Weird things? Let's see...

Years ago, when I was working night shift at the VW factory in Wolfsburg, looking out of the office window around 1:30am I saw there's a thunderstorm way south. Not having anything to do at that moment I went outside with my coffee cup in hand to enjoy the light show. Spontaneously I raised my cup for a toast and went "Hail Thor, nice to have you around!"...

...and then, a second after my words, there was a chain of cloud-to-cloud lightning all across the sky... directly above the factory (Remember, in the sagas lightning is one of Thor's main jobs!). After that, it continued down south as normal.

Quite obviously just a funny coincidence... but wow was that a crazy feeling! smile.png

Having been a pen&paper roleplayer for many years I amassed quite a heap of dice of all kinds (who doesn't?) that for a long time I stashed in a leather cup on my table. There came one day when I was sitting in my room, doing PC stuff, with the empty table behind me. No one else in there. Door and window closed. No touching of the table by me.

But suddenly that cup fell over, spilling the dice all across the table and floor.

To this day I have no idea what happened. Even if a truck, or a convoy of fucking tanks (I live close to the former inner-German border, and it was still Bid Bad Ivan across the border time back then, so we had many military exercises in our area), had passed on the street, that wouldn't have been nearly enough tremor to just move the cup, much less topple it.

Thought experiment: Imagine a bay at the coast, in very calm waters, not very large, hardly deep. A river meets the ocean at that bay. How many waves do you expect?

Did you say "none"? Congratulations then, you deem possible what I saw in Wexford (Ireland) one morning when we were visiting an old friend.

I still have a photo of that amazing morning. Damn there's an entire river pouring through that bay, there must be at least some waves right? Yet at that morning the sea was a perfect mirror surface. Actually on my photo there's one single wave... caused by the first fisher boat heading out. My old pal had been living there for three years already, with a great view onto that bay from his terrace, but he had never seen anything like that.

What was that? Good question. Some freak weather/ocean thing maybe. I'm not enough of a specialist to tell. smile.png

One night I was driving home. I was maybe a couple miles from home. Then this really bright flaming thing just goes overhead. I mean I have not ever seen anything like it. Unfortunately I was driving and I couldn't get a good sustained look at it. No sound. It vanished over some buildings. I thought it could be some type of firework I had not ever seen before but if so, it was a heck of a big one.

Quite often I am thinking "the phone is going to ring" and it does.

I saw an apparition once. I don't know, in my own house I woke up and saw this lady in my room. As I am looking at this lady, she goes transparent and vanishes.  It only happened once.

I've had a very close UFO encounter and some dramatic Ouija experiences. I'll get back to this when I have more time.

I had the exact same thing happen to me Deva. I looked into my rear view mirror while driving on a country road and the huge bright flaming light scared the life out of me. It was gone in seconds........

I was rendered unconscious by a curious chemical process.  Then I was probed.  The odd, masked creatures inform me that this procedure will be repeated in five years.

I hesitate to write this story because you may thing this is delusional but I've decided to write anyway.

I have had many spooky experience's happen but the weirdest thing was when my sister died. My husband had to remain in British Columbia and pack our stuff up to move home and take care of the kids. My girlfriend who was staying with me at the time  (she is still alive to tell this story) was staying with me at the time because I was in real bad shape. We were sitting in my sister's living room and I could not stop crying.

Out of the blue, a certain sound came from behind the piano. We later called it 'heavenly chimes'. It was so incredible and beautiful. We both heard it with our own ears!! I thought I would have a heart attack because I knew it was a different 'sound'?. There was no radio, TV...nothing on in the house. Both of our hearts were beating in our chests. She looked at me with wide eyes and I looked at her and we both knew it was coming from behind the piano.

We both got up at the exact time and pulled the piano out from the wall. She was as taken back by the 'chimes' as I was. We could find nothing. We sat down and she was convinced that it was a 'sign' (still is to this very day) that was coming either from my mom (who played that piano for her whole life) or my sister.

We sat back down on the couch to try and figure out what just happened when it 'played' again. We just sat there stunned and couldn't move. It stopped after a minute and right to this day (because I have my mom's piano in my house) has never done it since. It was a certain beautiful chime noise coming from behind the piano?? Sometimes I wish it would play that 'music' again......

It probably was the spookiest thing that has ever happened to me that I can not explain to this very day.

A buddy and I were walking down a set of train tracks early EARLY (as in - still very dark) in the morning on our way to one of our favorite waterfowl hunting spots when I decided to turn around and look behind us. About a mile away, both of us watched as a green/blue orb was quickly crossing the sky. Once BOTH of us were looking at it (and shitting our pants a little), the orb quickly came to a stop, hovered in place for a few seconds and then quickly dropped straight down.

There were no audible sounds (like I said, it was about a mile away so it seemed) and the treeline made it impossible to see what happened after it dropped.

About 10-15 years later, I saw something very similar on my way into work one night.

I really WANT to believe in UFO's, bigfeet, and the like.  I've read about them, I've gone looking for them.  I've met people who have seen them- and similarly paranormal stuff.  But they remain elusive to me.

About 10-12 years ago my wife and I were driving through the desert in Southern Colorado just west of the Sangre de Christo range.  This was the San Louis Valley which is pretty well known for UFO's, hippies, and weird phenomena like that... Taos is just across the state line to the south.  Anyway we were out in the middle of nowhere and suddenly we came upon this plywood alien pointing across the road (nothing but empty desert across the road).  So we kept driving, and a few miles later there was another plywood alien pointing across the road- this time at an old run down house trailer.  The trailer had a deck built on the ROOF- and the sign indicated that for a fee you could sit on their roof at night and watch the UFO's... I imagine that would come with refreshments.  Unfortunately we couldn't stay the night, so we continued on past the buddhist temple and the alligator farm (no shit) and headed home.  But if I ever find myself in the area again with some time to kill, I mean to follow the plywood aliens back to that spot.

Another time I bought a car from an alien named Jesus.  He didn't speak much English, but I could tell he was really making an effort.  The car had engine problems and he just wanted to get rid of it, so I gave him $150 for it.  I fixed it and sold it several months later for $1200.  That's the only vehicle I've ever made money on.

A guy I know that plays in a local bluegrass band out in Bumfuck Kansas ran across a bigfoot one time.  He was living miles from his closest neighbor out in Southwest Kansas- which is barren and featureless even by Kansas standards.  This is a region that the pioneers called the Staked Plains- they were so featureless and impossible to navigate that for a 'trail' they'd actually drive stakes into the ground every mile or so- and you just kept going towards the next stake.  Anyhow, something kept breaking into the guy's chicken coop and taking chickens- he assumed it was a coyote.  One night they heard a noise outside, so he grabbed a shotgun and ran out there.  The dogs got there first and chased whateverthefuckitwas up a tree in the wind-break (farmsteads out there usually have a row or two of planted trees to break the wind since very few grow naturally).  He couldn't really see what it was, but had no doubt it was a varmint, so he shot up into the tree- and it jumped down and ran away into the night ON TWO LEGS.  He said it wasn't really all that big- not even as big as a man.  Was it a small bigfoot?  A chupacabra? A troll?  A hermit?  I reckon we'll never know.

About 20 years ago, I was walking home from work one afternoon.  I pulled a piece of paper from my pocket to read a prayer I had written during my lunch hour (I was a Christian).  While I was reciting the prayer, I felt something move inside of me, physically.  I continued with the prayer, then I felt it again, much stronger.  Whatever it was, I decided to let it come out.  Then all of sudden, all my muscles contracted, my mouth was growling, I felt like fangs were growing in my mouth and claws from my fingers.  I was walking like a werewolf and felt like one, I was enraged at the cars and wanted to chase them.

Then, all of sudden, a bird vomited on my head!  So I rushed home to take a shower.  I undressed, stepped into the shower and turned on the water.  When the water hit my body, I fell on all fours and started growling and cursing the water like a mad wolf.  Then finally I took hold of myself and went to lie down on the bed, wondering what was happening to me.

Are you serious or is this just an attempt at being a smart ass?

Margee, the chime or sound of a bell is written about extensively in Theosophical literature. There are many accounts of these sounds occurring in the presence of Madame Blavatsky. I think you would find some of these stories very interesting in light of your experience. It means something is coming through - from other realms.

Sensitive, aren't we?

I thought people would think "Oh, ironic description of colonoscopy" and find it mildly amusing.

I just thought for once we could possibly have a serious thread about this subject - guess not.

It was a joke.  We do that here.  You do not impress me with your humorless, thin-skinned whining.

Seriously, ya'll are posting about the paranormal on a forum full of avowed skeptics.  And I think it's been a pretty good discussion so far.  But you can't reasonably expect zero feces-throwing... not around here.

Ha! ha!  thanks man, I honor any kind of attention.

But the thread title says "UFOs, ESP, etc."  so my post fits nicely into the etc. category doesn't it?  smile.png

Thanks for those replies.

The Thor experience reminded me of a lightning experience. I was walking and it started raining and thundering. I was so discouraged about my life that told God I wished He would just strike me with lightning. Then about 10 minutes later a lightning bolt hit so close to me that it felt like somebody grabbed my scalp and then smacked me on the head. Everybody else on the sidewalk ran for cover (after the fact), but I thought it was funny. Later that day I started getting a bad headache and nausea though. I suspect the lightning hit a streetlight near me. Sometimes I like to think it actually hit me on the head.

So things like that keep me open-minded.
