♦ ficino ♦ Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Peter and Rosemary Grant worked on Darwin's finches for forty years, saw evolution in action... http://paw.princeton.edu/issues/2014/04/23/pages/5638/index.xml 2
bornagainathiest Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Sorry, F! That's not macro-evolution, that's micro-evolution. That's not an example of one KIND (baramin) of animal evolving into another KIND (baramin) of animal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baraminology 1

♦ ficino ♦ Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 No one is going to see macroevolution of living species, as far as I know. I copied the title of the article.
Thought2Much Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 BAA and I were just being snarky, since "That's micro-evolution, not macro-evolution!" is what the creationists would say, and, "But... they're still birds! They didn't evolve! Therefore, evolutionism is untrue! Checkmate, atheists!"
mymistake Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 No one is going to see macroevolution of living species, as far as I know. I copied the title of the article. But if they did Creationists would come up with a different excuse for why their religious beliefs are the truth. 2
Ravenstar Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 100 or so years ago they insisted that all animals were created as they are today and would have rejected microevolution (whatever)… therefore it is my hypothesis that religious thinking retards evolution in humans, at least at the intellectual/emotional level.
mwc Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 During my life I have witnessed the evolution of biblical interpretation. Christians deny this has occurred and claim the bible is interpreted exactly as it always has been even though the evidence exists to the contrary. mwc 2
Sexton Blake Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 New diseases appear all the time. They are macro-evolution, since they are NEW and can infect species their ancestors could not.
