So I really like this site and hope to find a home here but need to be sure and not offend the Gods..I mean Mods.

 

So plagarism causes a 30 day ban on first offense.  Now, if I were to make a post here first, and then cut and paste it at a different forum, would that still be a violation of your rules, if the original was here first?  Meaning, is the rule simply that you can't cut and paste from other forums and bring it here, or is it not a one way street?

Are you talking about the 30-day ban for violating the DMCA rules?   That pertains to copyrighted materials.

I don't know of anything prohibiting you from copying your own words and using them in multiple places.  However, remember that this website runs somewhat anonymously and people here expect and need their privacy due to the sensitive, personal nature of deconversion.    

 

Having said that, flame wars between another forum and Ex-C will not be tolerated.  So don't even think about posting something here, then posting the same thing in a christian forum hoping to drag some idiot christbots over here just for fun.

I will add one other thing that I think is related to the question you asked. If you, or anyone else, obtains personal information like phone numbers, addresses, emails, and the like from members here and then publishes that information on ExC or elsewhere without the explicit permission of the person, such action will result in a ban from ExC.

No I had not thought of or desired to post ppls personal info. Dats messed up!
