And to be honest they are both rather undesirable, With heaven being the best of a bad bunch. Think about it - In heaven for all eternity you worship God, Singing Praises / Praying / Worshiping and Serving. People think of Heaven as this Bliss that you basically do what you want and when you want but the Bible's view of heaven is literally for us to serve God! So your choice is would you rather be God's slave for eternity or be cast away to your own vices outside of heaven! lol. Also considering satan went against God that would open the possiblity of Freewill in heaven meaning if you even thought about going against God you would probably be cast out.

Though also NDEs and spiritualists describe heaven ( not the christian concept) as lively hilarious place that is serene and very difficult to describe using just words. God does not need worship but we get what we expect. Spiritual life in heaven will be similar to physical life only people will be free and have millions of fun things to do and things to learn about, where hatred and unkindliness does not exist, where beauty is indescribable. No one can sin, because we as souls are perfect, loving and joyful. As for Satan, he's not real, he doesn't even belong in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Hell is a spiritual state that is anything but desirable, hell is not a place and niether is heaven. Hell is is a spiritual state within that is descent into madness, misery, darkness, sorrow, crushing pain, self defeat, and all consuming terror, sound desirable to you?

Hi MM - The Bible's view of heaven is quite unlike the Holywood view. Heaven in the Bible is an eternity of church! An hour and a half is bad enough!! Jeepers can you imagine an eternity of that.

themonkeyman Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Aye but there probably wont be any form of Music either because again that would be an Earthly thing e.g. Musical Instruments so it would literally be vocally as it says in the bible lovely so we go Reformed Presbyterian lol. Thing is the Biblical View of Heaven would be also horrible lets face it you on Judgement Day along with everyone else is watching billions being sent to hell and then after watching that God will wipe your tears away and order you to worship for eternity. And the thing is I am sure if you even worry for your old loved ones God will probably condemn you for putting others infront of him e.g. Idol worship.

He has already set the precedent for doing so by turning Lot's wife into a pillar of salt for the heinous crime of looking back to Sodom where all her friends and loved ones were being pulverized by god's righteous indignation. He's not to be trusted.

Sounds like a smashing good time. US troops would put a Taliban captive in a room for long periods of time and play the Drowning Pool song "bodies" on repeat over and over and over. This is a form of torture but not unlike what we have to endure in Heaven. How can you worship and praise a God who is frying human souls and be sincere, it sounds like a pretty hard ask. Heaven is not paradise, it's a prison camp.

We can only joke about hell from the perspective that hell is a lie, if it isn't it's the most unjust concept you could think of. A place seperate from God, okay. A place where you burn in fire? Really? Forever? Inescapable? God is good m'kay, it's only fair we should spend forever in agony. 1

When we know it's BS, we don't really need to take it all that seriously. Not only that, but for those that fear it while knowing that it's BS, joking about it might help to overcome that fear.
