P25

Recently somebody mentioned the fragment P25 as the oldest known section of the New Testament.  Let's look deeper.

P25 is 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inces.  That is right, it is smaller than an index card.

The front of it reads (translated):

. . . signifying . . . 

. . . P . . .

. . . sai . . . 

. . . Jews? . . . 

 

 

And the back reads:

. . . world that I may bear . . . 

 . .  is of the truth . . .

. . . and this . . . 

. . . to the J . . . 

. . . not any . . . 

 

 

 

Clearly Jesus must be the son of God and the only way to avoid eternal damnation in hell.  There could be no other explanation for this miracle.

It's P52, but yeah, that scrap of paper that they found, the "oldest" validation of their christian claim, is at least decades if not a century or more removed from the death of their supposed savior.

Down at the bottom of the website for P52 it says that a framed reproduction of P52, visible on both sides, can be purchased for $50.

 

Even P52 has been pimped out.
