EdwardAbbey
Has anybody ever wondered about that? That’s probably why there are so many churches open on Sunday all over this country. Is it possible that the only reason the search for God continues is because there is no God at all? Is the search for God any different than trying to taste water in a mirage? At least with water, it’s existence cannot be denied. Water is an undeniable observable fact. The same holds true for other entities that are part of the reality that is all around us that nobody can denty, i.e., gravity and air. But I could be wrong. Gods existence could be an undeniable observable fact after all. The thing about it all is, I haven’t seen any observable evidence for it yet. Is it possible I am looking for God in all the wrong places? Comments?
Fweethawt
Is it possible I am looking for God in all the wrong places? That's exactly what your problem is. You keep looking in reality.
Ssel
But I could be wrong. Gods existence could be an undeniable observable fact after all. The thing about it all is, I haven’t seen any observable evidence for it yet. Is it possible I am looking for God in all the wrong places? Absolutely correct. Assuming that you are one of the true Ex-Christians, then when you were a "Christian", you were taught of what the Bible says by what the SCC understands. You discovered that the SCC couldn't be understanding things right. But you haven't realized to what degree. You're still thinking with what those SCC gave you as their foundation of truth. The SCC has a misconcept of God, thus you can search forever and never find it. That doesn't mean that God isn't there, only that you have been looking with the wrong idea in mind as to what you're looking for. http://www.ex-christian.net/index.php?s=&s...ndpost&p=128369

EdwardAbbey
Where Is God? "The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike." -- Delos McKown I like this quote. Think I'll add it to my list of favorite atheists quotes. It's so true too. But I could be wrong. Gods existence could be an undeniable observable fact after all. The thing about it all is, I haven’t seen any observable evidence for it yet. Is it possible I am looking for God in all the wrong places? Absolutely correct. Is it possible I am looking for God in all the wrong places? That's exactly what your problem is. You keep looking in reality. Reality rules doesn't it ? I just can't help but to notice there is no sign of a god as being part of it. Have you tried blowing a God whistle to see if he'll come to you? How bout the "God detector"? might just a worthwhile investment eh? http://www.yo-god.com/default.htm
not1not2
Just thought I'd throw this in the mix: "There was once a dunce who searched for fire with a lighted lantern. Had he known what fire was, he could have cooked his rice much sooner." -Zen saying "What you are seeking is what is seeking" -St. Francis of Assisi _/\_
