SilentLoner
The arc of justice is long, and sometimes it has a wickedly ironic sense of humor. In the case of these seven religious, right-wing pastors, preachers, lawmakers, and lobbyists, the more sanctimonious they are about everybody else’s marriage and sex habits, the more likely they are to wind up disgraced over their own. http://www.alternet.org/tea-party-and-right/7-right-wing-christians-who-got-their-comeuppance-hilarious-ways?paging=off¤t_page=1#bookmark
Super Moderator florduh Posted September 10, 2014 Super Moderator Share Posted September 10, 2014 I confess to a sense of satisfaction seeing these stories. Shame on me!
rach
Too bad the ultimate sanctimonious bastard, Jesus, never got his comeuppance. You know a man like that has got some serious skeletons in the closet. Will be a sweet day for ex-C-ers when somehow he finally gets his fall from grace and loses image as a moral leader. Super Moderator buffettphan Posted September 11, 2014 Super Moderator Share Posted September 11, 2014 These kinds of stories make me grin from ear-to-ear. A new creation in Christ -- hmpfffffffffffffff!
Brother Jeff
I hate these goddamn assholes and it's awesome to see them publicly fall from grace. In Christianity, it's perfectly okay to hate gays because the Bible says so. But it's also perfectly okay to eat shellfish and wear clothes made of mixed fabrics, both of which the Bible makes clear piss Jesus off very much! Fucking hypocrites... fuck them all. Those are strong words man strong as hell. you are angry at them for hating but then you hate just as much as they do. What up with that? I don't like their ways or their judgments and hypocracy but hating only hurts me and they won't get to me like that. Put down the hate they are not worth it. I see no problem directing anger towards these sanctimonious hypocrites who's goal in life is to push their brand of morality onto everyone. If a wealthy deacon - pillar of the community type - in a local Baptist church gets caught with a hookers and blow that's his personal business. If that same deacon was running for public office and attempting to change policy to his version of morals then he's an asshole and deserving of public ridicule.
