I have no idea what triggered it, I was just standing in my yard waiting on my dog to take a dump. I have no idea why it never occurred to me before, it just hit me out of nowhere, but even though it's glaringly obvious, I literally just got that American Maid's name is a pun. Roughly 45 minutes of work total from removing the old board, installing the new one, to getting it to boot Windows again. After I got it all hooked up all I had to do was flash and setup the Bios, run a startup repair that took all of five minutes to run, and everything was good again. No need to reinstall or reauthenticate Windows. I think this had a lot to do with the fact that both boards are from the same manufacturer. New board is a slight downgrade, but decent. I now lack bluetooth or water cooling hookups, which I wasn't doing anyway. Bluetooth is the biggest loss, as I now need to plug in my PS4 controller via USB, but that's really it. There's plenty of time for both today. I didn't watch TV in my own home for 4 years. Now I'm absolutely hooked on Catfish. I turn the TV on for that and then turn it off again.
