What We Do Know (Or Can Be Confident Of) About Christianity And Christians

Different branches of Christianity believe and support different things.

Christians overwhelmingly reject doctrines they do not like

The Bible teaches that almost everyone goes to Hell because of the “crime” committed by Adam and Eve. This includes children. The Church generally dares not teach this, at least in the UK

Christianity teaches an all knowing, all seeing God who has pre-selected the elect and pre-selected the damned (viturally everyone) Even William lane Craig has been quoted as accepting this premise……yet Christians still preach you must accept a  faith which has fore-knowledge built into it.

Jesus only came for the Jews

There are different versions of the Bible with textual differences

The Catholics priests are called Father…this is forbidden in Scripture

Jesus preached his message to those who died before him when He went to Hell, presumably giving them a choice of salvation after death. Why is this offer not made to those who died after Him?

The rich man in Hell was not only able to still speak, but actually converse with Heaven,

A person religious faith is overwhelmingly due to the culture they were born into. Billy Graham could just as easily be a Mullah had he be born to Muslim parents in the Middle East

Millions of people have never even heard of Jesus let alone read a Bible.

Millions of Christians are ignorant of what The Bible teaches.

Any others

There are things the christian god cannot or will not do:

1)  Prevent the end of the world, according to the book of revelation, as that would indicate it could change is mind and is not all knowing and in control

2)  Make itself obviously known

3)  End pain and suffering

4)  Provide any conclusive evidence that the afterlife it promised actually exists

5)  Honor the "seek and you shall find" clause in it's contract (the bible), if you don't already believe

6)  Ensure the "correct" politician becomes president, gets elected to congress, mayor, city council, etc., etc.

7)  Provide clear, succinct instructions that don't require extensive knowledge, research and proper interpretation

Regarding (1) According to The Bible He does change His mind

To add:

The Bible was slowly written and added to, meaning that even if true, God has slowly sent revelations. What happens to your salvation if your life was lived while only half The Bible was written.

Different branches of Christianity believe and support different things.

There are liberal Christian denominations that don't believe Evangelical ideas like most people going to hell, or eternal torment.  It's dumb and liberal-leaning folks don't go for it.   The pope officially declared other religions good and they can go to heaven (gee thanks).  Quakers don't like creeds and dogma.

Genesis 1: 1..........Should read......"Once upon a time"......... Isn't that the traditional beginning for a fairy tale?  Once a person realizes the Bible isn't a history book or a Divinely inspired instruction manual they will have taken a giant step in freeing their minds and  themselves from the cult identified as Christianity.

Xians claim that the bible contains everything we need to know to live our lives, but if we question something or express doubt, the answer is often, "god's ways are mysterious" which means that god did not or could not or refused to put everything we need to know in the bible.
