EdwardAbbey Posted January 21, 2006 Share Posted January 21, 2006 It reminds me of a couple quotes by Edward Abbey: God is a sound people make when they're too tired to think anymore. Whatever we cannot easily understand we call God; this saves much wear and tear on the brain tissues. I think the term "God" is just a figure of speech even for theists. Unless theists can come up with a logical definition for a God. The only definitions I've seen for God describes a being that is impossible. It cannot exist. In short, God remains just a sound people make not only when they are to tired to think anymore but when all else fails they invoke: God. So what else is new?
