Castiel233
There was a case a few years ago of a UK doctor who (in his words) had witnessed thousands of times to patients........After telling a mentally ill man the "good" news of Jesus, the doctor was most upset to find the man's mum had made a formal complaint to the general medical council. The GMC wrote to the doctor basically telling him to keep his religious views out of his medical practice, a warning the doctor called "outrageous" The doctor was accused of telling the patient that "the devil haunts people" and that if the man did not turn to Jesus "he would suffer for the rest of his life" Regardless of who said what in the consulting room, the doctor was found guilty of crossing an acceptable line in his professional life. Taking his fight to the media, the doctor claimed that "Christians recover 70 percent faster" He also stated, "“I asked God to send me a challenge that would resonate with people,to make them see the importance of faith.” The GMC handed him a five year warning, stating that to over step the line again would likely lead to him being struck off. During this battle with the GMC, which he lost, the doctor was also diagnosed with cancer....showing that God does move in mystery ways To show fair and balance, the doctor's (who is unrepentant) side of the story is here:
Guest Furball
There was a case a few years ago of a UK doctor who (in his words) had witnessed thousands of times to patients....... -so he abuses his job to witness to people when he is suppose to be helping them? nothing like needing a doctors help, only to be cornered and having jesus shoved in your lap After telling a mentally ill man the "good" news of Jesus, the doctor was most upset to find the man's mum had made a formal complaint to the general medical council. The GMC wrote to the doctor basically telling him to keep his religious views out of his medical practice, a warning the doctor called "outrageous" -ok, first of all this doctor is the one who is mentally ill, second, he had no right to force his beliefs on someone in a setting as private as this....good for his mum calling foul play on the doctor, as far as him calling the warning outrageous, he probably was smiling the whole time thinking he was being persecuted for righteousness sake The doctor was accused of telling the patient that "the devil haunts people" and that if the man did not turn to Jesus "he would suffer for the rest of his life" -how did he come to this conclusion? on what does he base this information? why would he even say something like this? Oh yeah, he was trying to use that old conversion tactic called irrational fear Taking his fight to the media, -strange, i thought his version of god would have fought the fight for him the doctor claimed that "Christians recover 70 percent faster" -wheres the proof of this He also stated, "“I asked God to send me a challenge that would resonate with people,to make them see the importance of faith.” -the importance of make believe? the importance of magical thinking? this doctor (if you can even call him that) is a nut case. another proof that christianity makes/drives people insane he should lose his license
