gall
Oh, this is gold. 10 WOMEN CHRISTIAN MEN SHOULD NOT MARRY 10 MEN CHRISTIAN WOMEN SHOULD NOT MARRY You may throw up in your mouth a little. I don't normally look at links in peoples posts because frankly I think Christians live in delusion. Can't say I will be looking again soon. I don't regret looking but it really makes me sad that anyone would believe that total load of shit. It angers me because people believe that way it confuses me because most christians I know are violating that list it makes me want to vomit because basically no person in the world would not fit into one of those categories which makes Christians not only intolerant and insane, it also makes them completely obtuse to any reality around them in a way that gets worse with every generation. All lists like this can serve to do is turn us against one another. Doesn't there faith call each other brothers and sisters? A list like that does not treat one as family it turns us all into enemies that must compare and contrast if others meet the standard we have set in foolishness for ourselves. Basically if you need this kind of advice about marriage that alone should be a good indicator that you yourself are not ready but for the love of all that is not god and not holy I hope no one outside of the most brainwashed would take this seriously. Oh and by marrying a younger woman I guess I am doing right but she is not? How can that little oxymoron exist?
mymistake
So apparently it's okay to marry Christian men who do not bother to do spiritual devotions and Christian women who are too ashamed of their faith to evangelize. Cuz Godly gender rolls? What is just as bad is the Christian theology that Jesus has already picked out your spouse. Jesus knows everything you need and picked the one person who is just right so that the two of your will fulfill everything you need from each other. If you just patiently and obediently wait Jesus will bring your perfect spouse to you. *vomit*

Exactly. I can't believe anyone even exists who would meet all these requirements...unless maybe someone deep in the cult. So if you meet someone who is most of these things but is a few years outside of God's preferred age group for successful submission, then you are supposed to walk away? Talk about a list of impossible (and ridiculous) standards. It just makes me hate the whole thing even more. They are a brainwashed cult. Here is the evidence. What is just as bad is the Christian theology that Jesus has already picked out your spouse. Jesus knows everything you need and picked the one person who is just right so that the two of your will fulfill everything you need from each other. If you just patiently and obediently wait Jesus will bring your perfect spouse to you. Yep. The hypocrisy. It burns. So once again, Christianity and the buybull is setting you up for a no-win situation. If you feel in your heart that God is leading you to the spouse he has chosen for you, but the would-be spouse doesn't fit all the requirements, then what? Trust God? Follow his inerrant word? Brain explosion? I just can't.
DragonTheDruid
Oh good god. That was painful to read. It makes me happy that I'm 1) not a christian, and 2) gay. Apparently no matter what, marrying a man will shorten your life span anyway, so it's a good thing I rather marry a woman! The whole' submit to your husbands' 'men have authority' BS has always pissed me off even when I was a xian. A couple times mom would want to do something for herself so I'd be like: Just do it then' and she'd be like ' I have to get permission first from your dad', and I never really understood why. But then again, I have some problems with some authority anyway..... Ugh. Those articles made me mad.

Unless you marry someone within the same cult you belong to thereby insuring they believe exactly what you believe, then it's a hopeless expectation. 2.You are right as usual, the bible does set you up again with a no win situation, it's the "you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't" philosophy of the bible that makes living by its impossible standards even more hair tearing. Brain explosion? I just can't. In my experience it was just a f*cked up lie. In my late teens and early 20's I went to a church where the young men outnumbered the young women at around 5 to 1. Going to church and reading my Bible did not help me reach my goal of finding a spouse. Despite the odds I was one of the guys who got to date a gal at church. But with neither one of us having any relationship skills the relationship never went anywhere. What, reading the Bible more doesn't solve the problem? Wait, praying doesn't solve it either? Maybe we should try reading the Bible again? Eventually I had to leave Christianity's plan for my dating and find my own path.
