How about this: Pink Shirt shows up at a pick-up game. Blue Shirt says to his captain: Not on our team. Pink Shirt hangs around for an invitation. Blue Shirt says: Go home where you belong. Pink Shirt doesn't move because he lives here. Blue Shirt gets in his face and shouts: I said, GO HOME! This game is for BOYS! When Pink Shirt doesn't budge, Blue Shirt calls an explicit insult and whacks Pink Shirt over the head with his fist. Insert final panel. (Stop That!/I'm a victim of oppression!) *************************** I'm not sure that even that little story will get a sympathetic hearing by Christians. I know some people who would outright deny that such things happen. I'm straight so I don't actually know, but I'm "crooked" in so many other things and I have met with outright denial when trying to describe what life is like for the person who is "different"--it's as though they think since I dared be born this way I better suck it up and pretend it didn't happen because they sure won't acknowledge it. M'kay... I agree that a Catholic Apologetic site is very suspect. However, every source that I found that looked into the comparison between horus and jesus found that there is no evidence for many of the similarities. This is what Wikipedia had to say: "Porter has pointed out that Massey and Kuhn's analogies include a number of errors, e.g. Massey stated that December 25 as the date of birth of Jesus was selected based on the birth of Horus, but the New Testament does not include any reference to the date or season of the birth of Jesus." I have no doubts that judaism and christianity borrowed from earlier religions but I don't think that the horus/jesus alleged similarities are the silver bullet that some people wish it was.
