Okay, I've read every single one of these, and this one gets my vote for funniest and most clever.

If you think that this sort of logic is going to bother a Christian, you got another thing coming.

A Pente friend of mine actually explained this by saying Adam and Eve's story is only an "example" of how god started the human race. Not that it says so anywhere in the book or anything like that.

I was a believer myself back then though so I didn't have any more difficult questions for her.

The Baptist church I went to said the bible never says Adam and Eve had  only 3 children.

They obviously had more which is where the wife came from.

No problem is too big for the fundy to overcome. GONZ9729CustomImage1539775.gif

I was told that cain took his sister as a wife. The problem though, is that the bible states that he left out on his own with no sister in tow, and that he married someone else from another city. What city? There wasn't any built yet.

Also, genesis 4:15 says the following : And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

-Who are these people that the bible is talking about? Since abel was killed by cain, the only people alive on the entire earth were adam, eve and cain. Talk about a blatant discrepancy.

I think the analogy is somewhat invalid though. I don't think it's a matter of a business not wanting to simply sell a pizza (or a cake) to a gay person. The cases that I've heard about are where a business owner doesn't want to cater an event like a gay wedding. In that case the better analogy might be where a nurse is asked to put on a CPR class at a neo-Nazi club meeting, or for that matter a meeting of evangelical atheists or climate-change deniers or anti-vaccine activists. No, no, no, I'm not equating being gay to being a Nazi, but I think it's a better analogy. Just sayin'

You're right, in this specific instance it was refusal to cater a gay wedding; however there have been instances of bakeries refusing to bake cakes for gay weddings.
