I'm not Native American, but I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride watching that slideshow. There's something wonderful and uplifting about a people who stay true to their native traditions and also live in the modern world, melding the two together. At times like this, honoring the fallen, such traditions come to the fore and display the payoff that comes from preserving one's cultural heritage. My feelings on the war may be mixed, but those who fight and fall for us must not be forgotten in all the hullabaloo over the war. He was honored by both country and kin, and honored well. May all peoples honor their dead in like fashion, and scum like the Westboro Jesus™ Whores continue to fade like the oppressive traitors to their own peoples that they are. Fwee, the Phelps' Klan has been seen at kids funerals all over the Nation using the "god hates America" bullshit, protesting, and seeming happy that Americans are burying their boys and girls..
