Our Creations Are Just Another Form Of Nature!

I've just had an epiphany. Ice ages come and go. Greenhouse gases come and go, but we as humans are just another creature born on earth. What we see as technology, buildings, motorcars are a part of nature. We as a species created them, but they are a part of the earth's nature. Cities created by humans are a part of earth's nature.

We make the distinction between man made and natural, but in essence it is all really natural. We are a phase in the history of the earth and universe.

We are complex animals in a complex habitat, nothing more, nothing less. We will be extinct like any other species whether in a thousand years or a million.

We think of ourselves as separate from nature, but we are just a more complex manifestation of animal life.

Even at our most modern we are still in nature's environment.

We are able to consciously observe ourselves, but we are still suffering from tunnel vision. We can never be totally objective. We function only within the parameters set in the human brain and technology conjured up by it.

Get used to it. You are an animal living in its natural habitat. Nothing new is happening to the earth. After us life will go on or cease. It is all natural.

I also believe one could see human civilization as a super organism of sorts. Once a society has gathered enough momentum, it's like it has gained a life of its own.

SB, everything made sense to me the night I came to the conclusion that man was just an evolved animal. It helped me to understand humans a lot better by looking at them as 'human animals'. Whether we're a hell of a lot smarter than the other animals without conscious thought is another question. I think our thinking brains will lead us to a lot of disasters in the future. Glad I won't be around to see it.  The human animal is smart and stupid and I include myself in that.......
