Criticising Judaism is complicated by the fact that it is an ethnic religion, so although all religions are tribalistic, Judaism is even more so. Point being, secular Jews might (and often will) take offense when the Jewish FAITH is criticised, even if they're ardent atheists themselves. It's so tied up with Jewish culture and identity it's hard to separate them.
