♦ Fuego ♦
Just saw this 2 nights ago. I enjoyed it, though it was a bit of a funnel to the ending (i.e., kind of expected). There ARE spoilers in here, so don't read if you haven't seen it. I don't know how to hide text. I wondered why she had a sense of self preservation. That seems to be a "given" by most AI stories I've seen since the 90s, but since she wasn't organic, unless that was programmed into her why would she have it? She was able to use her sexuality to manipulate, but wasn't driven by it like an organic being, and apparently wasn't programmed that way. She also lacked compassion, but either that was not programmed, or she still saw him as a threat and her own survival overrode that. But overall, the concept of a tech genius with unlimited funding deciding to pursue new approaches in tech was interesting. Not sure anyone could begin to approach what he did without several kinds of fabs helping him with part production.
Super Moderator florduh Posted July 4, 2016 Super Moderator Share Posted July 4, 2016 I really liked the movie, but the ending wasn't surprising in the slightest.
