BlueGiant Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I can bleed for seven days and not die so I guess I'm female. I would like to point out that it isn't just females who are known to bleed for seven days without dying. Just tends to hurt a lot more when guys have that happen.
Cat Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I reckon I'm female. Last time I looked I was anyways...
spamandham Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 ...are we negotiating? Depends. Have you got anything without spam? Perhaps that could be arranged if kitty loses the swim cap.
Aqua Kitty Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 ...are we negotiating? Depends. Have you got anything without spam? Perhaps that could be arranged if kitty loses the swim cap. Oh no! Not the swim cap!
Reach Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 strictly a female female I bet you can tell by my avatar... A belated happy birthday, Purple. Sorry, I missed your party.
Checkmate Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I love this thread. Now I know who to flirt with!
jrmarlin Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I love this thread. Now I know who to flirt with! I think that was jgarrison's ultimate point here. He wanted to see who the dudes and dudettes were so he could hit on chicks.
Rosa Mystica Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I think that was jgarrison's ultimate point here. He wanted to see who the dudes and dudettes were so he could hit on chicks. I somehow doubt it. He is married, after all.
godlessgrrl Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I somehow doubt it. He is married, after all. That makes a difference?
Guest singlecoil Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I always thought there were more men than women on this sight, boy was I wrong. Maybe I need to hang out here more often!
AlexyLady Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Female here as well! Perhaps the men post more often?
blueheron Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Another couple X chromosomes here. Edited to add - Atheist as well.
ShackledNoMore Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I'd have to challenge the initial premise of the thread. BEFORE I read this thread, I thought it was pretty equal, maybe even a few more women than men, but close. I was surprised to learn after having been here more than a year (closer to a year and a half now) that there were about three or so on this thread that I had somehow assumed were men, but were actually women. I'm wondering if there aren't actually more women here than men, but of course that's just a wild guess, and it's also possible that there are people I assumed were women that are actually men--it's also more likely for men take a female persona on the Internet at large than the other way around, although for the life of me, I don't see any reason to be deceptive about your gender here unless you want to be a troll. It really is hard to tell online whether someone is a man or a woman unless s/he says something to actively indicate his/her gender.

I don't have any way of knowing first hand, but that's not the impression I get from some women I've talked to! I've actually bled for seven days, not died, and not even been in really bad pain.
woodsmoke Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I somehow doubt it. He is married, after all. That makes a difference? Not in my book! I'd have to challenge the initial premise of the thread. R. S. Martin Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 To be honest, I had few surprises. I like to know all I can about the people who post regularly so I look for any clues I can find. Any reference to "my spouse and his car, or whatever" tells me that unless we're talking about a homosexual couple the writer is female. Besides, the homosexual couples on here tend to refer to "my partner" rather than "my spouse." Anyway, those are the kinds of tips that helps me unscramble and figure out genders and living arrangements of members. Might come from my love for Guess-Who games we played as kids.
