You know the pompous pious Christians who claim that the worst atrocities have been committed "in the name of atheism". (An assumption so blatantly false its absurd. Just because someone is an atheist does not mean they are doing it in the name of atheism) But lets say the Christian wants to play that game:

 

Tell me in what name was the crusades?

Tell me who preached against the Jews?

Tell me who dropped an A bomb on a paper city?

 

All Christian nations I believe. So Christians don't bother spreading your shite about how Atheism leads to atrocities. Scandinavia, probably the most atheist of areas, was the best in terms of society.... until they let in immigrants.... who believe in a God who demands that infidels die. It's not atheism that's the problem, its theism.
