neveranytrouble Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Raised a pastors kid it has been a long process to remove myself from Baptist brainwashing.Living in Australia has been an advantage as generally Aussies are skeptical of Religious Nuts.Happy enough for Christians to do charity work but that is about it.My husband and I both have generational Baptist families so I have had plenty of practice at being outnumbered at the Family functions and the victim of the relentless "being a Witness." I am in my mid fifties and still find socialising with Baptists is like walking through mud.Have been an atheist for over twenty years."Survival tips for lost sheep" is my main area of interest and I am thinking of posting on that subject if anyone is interested. 2

Geezer Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Welcome, I love our Aussie posters. I wish I could visit your wonderful country. I think of Australia as a smaller version of America, but a with population that has a lot more common sense. Actually, I fear if I did visit Australia I wouldn't want to leave & we couldn't be that far away from our kids & grandson. 1

I hated Religious Nuts too. My aunt was the one and she was the most horrible person I ever met. She mistook her mental illness as a blessing from the god/allah.
