Church in Chesapeake is heavily damaged in strong storm

 

Soooooooo................ your omnipotent god threw this tornado at your church, damaged it and now that same god will see to it that it gets fixed. 

 

That's kind of like when I was a kid my dad intentionally knocked over my aquarium. He had to buy me a new one. I still think he was a dick.

 

 

I can hear the rationalizations:

 

"We have been going in the wrong direction so god wanted to bring us in line"

 

So, why doesn't your god send a ball of fire to destroy all the Buddhist temples?

 

 

"We let LGBTQ people in our church so god wanted to teach us a lesson"

 

So where are hermaphrodites supposed to go to worship your god?

 

 

"God didn't do it, Satan did"

 

So why would your all powerful god allow Satan to destroy his house of worship?

"God" prevents the storm from affecting us; then it's "His grace and mercy because we're TrueBelievers™".

 

If their god made so many people whose lives and lifestyles are abominable to him JUST SO he could punish them forever in a "hell" to show his power, fuck him,

 

If their god made those people and they are meant to know him and not to suffer, he's sure doing a shitty job of making himself understood.
