Goodbye Jesus

Do you expect me to read that!

How come so many Christians write so much dialogue when formulating a argument. You know what I mean, block after block of text and a shit load of bible verses to cross reference.

Note: How did this get here, I'm sure I posted in the rants section.

It's one way of avoiding the accusation of "making an assertion" and meeting the atheist demand for making an argument with supporting documentation. I take it you don't like to read, especially not Christian apologetics. That's not their fault. You can choose your correspondents; ignore those people who write more than you can read. That means you won't like reading my posts, either, because I tend to make in-depth arguments and cite authors/websites to support my argument. I'm an atheist and ex-Christian.

I have one Christian buddy who goes off on the weirdest tangents, pouring out reams of what he thinks is logic when it is the most contorted "deep" stuff he can conjure up. It reminds me of the mental gymnastics that believers have to use to make sense of their conclusions. Believers see the Bible as truth and therefore proof, and follow it up with Jesus said anyone who wants to do the will of god will know whether his words are true or not (which assumes that god is real to begin with, so isn't proof of anything). Also, many will give up instead of sorting through the leaps of reasoning. Sometimes giving up is the best approach when they won't hear anything but keep writing ad infinitum.

Many times it's due to the fact they know they don't have a strong case, so they drown everyone with volumes of nonsense that is both rambling and unreadable.  Knowing full well no one will slog through it, they bank on the high probability that people will be impressed with the sheer size of the dissertation and assume the authors know what they're going on about.

No, no no no.

Who gives a shit about me:) I do and that's all that matters.

Now I must learn to articulate my thoughts better, I got stuck in bible mode for a long time. So you know what I mean by that, that none or mostly none of my thoughts are actually my own (There just random bible nonsense spewing out of my mouth)

Actually, I only recovered from bible diarrhea in the last few weeks. I am trying to not use the bible to combat the head Gods (Fuck the G) that absorbs so much of this society.

Anyway..

This is what I mean by wall to wall of text that Christians write, that when it comes down to it it's not the actual human being talking to you.

You can see, sometimes, a human in there trying to crawl their way out, but their head God (Praise Jebus for the G) won't let them.

Maybe if I use the force I might get through to them, I still have a old pastor I talk to and it's so weird now.

He wants me back so bad he is adopting some of my ideas that debunk Christianity and using them to preach to me.

Yeah, you can feel that when you start reading.
