snookums
http://www.positiveatheism.org/mail/eml8654.htm This article is sooo old...so I'd say YEP! definately time to stop being Polite or patient Its a great read - I like the whole site btw...its worth adding to favs. I'm often pissed off by the way cwistians get away with 'god' talk because they think its their right....freedom of WHAT? (to butt into my life)! Yep...I posted this exact same post in another chatroom Here's what a christian says to me... how can we melt that layer of brick and ice that formed around your heart? Is this fucking typical or what!???......any discussion resembling critism is met with 'you're an angry mob' or accusation that its not cool to be angry or write in a casual manner... anyway...the link to the positiveatheism is a good one (methinks)

Mad Ethel Rakem
The guy makes good points. But some of the things he seemed to toy with (along with a few responses from readers) make me uneasy. Yes, standing for your beliefs (or lack of religious ones, anyway) is a good and honorable thing to do. Every human deserves the right to his own ideas. But then there seems to flow this undercurrent of "Us vs. Them" which is always a dangerous bedfellow. Talk of taking over or converting people to athiesm is merely the same villiany Christianity falls into, only this time it hides beneath a mask of athiesm. And that is not something I wish to see. Why is it that humans have this insatiable urge to make everyone around them in their own image?
jrmarlin
I think it's time for the kit gloves to come off regarding religion. Spirituality of any kind -- even the lackthereof -- is a very private, solitary and personal pursuit. Xians feel the need to spout off their mythological banter like hot dog vendors at a sports event. They feel it's their right but in reality, it is not their right to try to impose their beliefs on others. If anything, when Xians preach to me, it does nothing but make me stronger in my belief that all xianity is a crock of shit. They can't answer basic questions regarding their beliefs. Their pat answer is "because it's in the bible it must be true." And we all know the bible has so many problems that it can not be taken in a serious light and it only serves as a tenuous source at best for developing ideas and spirituality. I believe Xians like to preach so much about xianity because they fear they themselves do not believe and the more they hear it, the more they feel stability and security. The more I hear their nonsensical banter, the more I know they're nuts.

I say cast them from heaven to the depths of hell, the lake of fire!
