Do they not see how stupid this sounds?

I wonder what she'd say if it would turn out that those three women went to the same church as she.

Another instance of the "praya wurkzzzz!!!!!!!!!" bullshit.

Millions, literally millions of people have prayed for peace for several decades at least. Didn't work out so well did it? Oh right these were alllllllllll No True Christians(TM) I forgot... which is always crystal clear after the fact.

:Hmm:

The moral abhorrence of this thinking really concerns me.

Its essentially in the form of "God did X for me" but then the person completely fails to acknowledge what God didn't do for someone else.

My prime example is "I prayed and God found my keys" meanwhile fails to acknowledge that the same God left a 4 year old child to die in agony from cancer, and left her parents grieving for the rest of their lives.

If that's they way you think, your moral compass is screwed!

I like the bumper sticker that says ‘Jesus loves you but I’m his favourite ‘.

When you don't know those people, they're "the world." Obviously their god isn't protecting people who are "of the world."

Taking the Christian rebuttal here. Well you can't prove God didn't intervene. ^_^ :jesus:

Taking the atheist rebuttal:

Yes, but you cannot prove it wasn't my transcendent immaterial invisible unicorn either.

So, not only is she crazy enough to believe that God sent our snow storm just to keep HER from getting robbed at her regular gas station, but she also praises him for protecting her. I guess the three women who were emotionally scarred by this tragic incident are just fucked or hated by God or both?

I'm convinced christianity fosters narcissistic tendencies. God sent the snow for me, and fuck the other women because I'm the most important one in the story...besides god of course....wink, wink.

Guy was like "Oh boy, it's snowing!  Time to go rob again!  I only rob when it snows.  Thank you, god."
