Living Biblically - upcoming American sitcom

There's an upcoming American sitcom called "Living Biblically" that's based on the book "The Year Of Living Biblically." It premieres on February 26 on CBS. Here is a promo for it:

My favorite part of that promo is the stoning. It could be interesting to see where all they go with this.

They have already tried living Biblically to the letter.   It was called the Inquisition.

This show starts tomorrow night, so I thought I'd bump this thread. I'm not sure what my wife will think of it, but I intend to watch it. ;)

Thanks for the reminder.  I'm going to give it a try even though I have very mixed feelings about the show.

Here's an interesting article with Johnny Galecki (Big Bang Theory) who is the executive producer of the show.

Quote

Galecki said he was disheartened by early speculation that the show would be “scathing and sarcastic” in its portrayal of a religious lead character.

Walsh (the show's creator) said that’s the opposite of what the show has set out to do.

“I think, hopefully, [people of faith] will find this show a cool take on what a lot of people base their entire lives around,” he said.

Galecki was uplifted by the reactions he received from religious studio-audience members during the live tapings.

Strange. The promo sure looks like it's a sarcastic show, so I don't see how he'd be surprised by people taking it that way. If he expects the religious to find it a cool take, I suspect he'll be disheartened again.

Personally, I don't know how sustainable the show will be, but I am interested in seeing what they do with it. It could end up being mostly corny, but it could end up being pretty funny. I definitely got a kick out of the stoning scene.

I was under the impression that they were trying to get a Christian audience. (Can't remember where I read that.) I set the DVR to record it because I'm curious.
