Goodbye Jesus

What am I?

I stopped believing in the Bible and the existence of Jesus. But, I still believe someone- a God or more than one God created this universe. I do believe there was/is a creator. So, I cannot be an atheist, can I?

So, what do I call myself, if I am not a Christian nor an atheist nor follow or believe in any other religions?

This is normal. Lots of ex Christians go through a phase where we still believe in a God/gods. For some, this phase does not end.

Call it whatever you want. Labels don't really matter anyways.

You can make one up.  It doesn't really matter but it sounds like very ordinary beliefs.  Plenty of people believe there is some creator but they don't know who or what.

Free thinker, spiritual, deist, theist, other...

Also, I would be remiss in my duties as holy prophet of the FSM if I didn't admonish you to at least consider pastafarian.

Wikipedia says - "According to adherents, Pastafarianism is a "real, legitimate religion, as much as any other".

Omg!! You are serious!! That is an actual thing!! Thought you were joking, hence my earlier comment. Sorry, no offence meant.

I read the rest of the wiki article now.

Are you really a pastafarian?

Going only by what is written above, you are probably a "gnostic theist" : believing that you know that a god exists.

Unless you don't profess to actually know that for sure. In which case you'd be an "agnostic theist": not knowing if any god exists, but believing in god anyways despite not knowing for sure.

If you continued past there, you'd come eventually to "agnostic atheist": not knowing if any god exists, and also not believing that any do without substantial evidence, basically.

Judging by the above you're in the "theist" category and have not crossed over to the "atheist" range of thought.

I have gazed upon his noodly visage ;).

In many ways, it's the ultimate belief system. Our heaven has strippers and a beer volcano. Even our hell has strippers and beer, they're just unattractive and warm. It's a win-win!

I am either gnostic theist or agnostic theist..can't decide which of these I am.. As I firmly believe someone created this world and do not believe in evolution or big bang....

But I am not sure if the power that created the universe still exists or if it died... But, I do believe there exists a power even today which is beyond human- as in some sort of spiritual power... But, I do not know if this spiritual power was the creator of the Universe.

You may be a gnostic or agnostic "deist," in that case. Maybe look into the varieties of deism and see if any of those are what you're thinking.

Thank you.... Being a Christian or an atheist is so much simpler :-D :D

You're just like everyone else in that you have no idea how everything began. It's okay to say, "I don't know" and let it go at that. There is no need to assume that since we don't have all the answers yet, then there must be a god doing stuff in one way or another.

Your label: Human Being.

I am a deist :)

And I think an agnostic deist as even though I strongly believe a God created this universe, I am unsure if he/she still exists.

Correct me if I am wrong. :)

And thank you...So happy I got a label. :)))

A Deist. Short and simple.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism

If you think this creator is personal and interferes in human affairs then technically a theist.

[Edit... rats Josh beat me to it. Great minds think alike... the fools are to slow to get their thoughts out first :D )

Infidel!

The transcendent, immaterial, invisible Pink Unicorn has much more grace, power and wisdom than the FSM, PBUH.

Turn from your false god and ride the great pink unicorn!
