Bishop Chris Bennett teaches on Forgiveness

Recommended Posts

Bishop Chris Bennett, teaches that destroying the flesh is the goal for gaining spiritual enrichment.  He states, "Developing the eye of the spirit requires you to make a serious decision. This decision is going to challenge you in various ways that will ultimately destroy your flesh, which will bring new understanding to you spirit. The more your flesh decreases, the more your spirit man increases (Galatians 5:24-25)."

So why is this necessary.  What about the flesh is so bad.  We all live in the flesh and we like our flesh that we live.  He states, "So, the goal in this stage of your development is to destroy your flesh and the works of the flesh. (Galatians 5:19-20). As long as your flesh has superiority in your life and the decisions you make you will never be able to open your spiritual eye.

Romans 8:5 for those who live according to the fresh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit, the things of the spirit. “therefore, the decision that you would have to make is which nature is going to have the superiority in your life. Now, know that whenever you decide to destroy your flesh, you are entering into a battle with yourself, because the flesh does not want to die."

So there you have it.  Another preacher trying to tell us that we must not live in the very flesh that we live in.  What will be next?

Is your name Chris Bennett?  Anyway this isn't really news or current events.  You should post this type of advertisement to the Lion's Den where it belongs.

By the way, any preacher who teaches that we should not live in flesh is crazy.  The theology is insane.  The book of Galatians is rubbish.

I'll give this "spiritual enrichment" a miss.  Any so-called spirit that can't happily coexist with the flesh simply isn't worth having.
