Wertbag
It's a Christian nation because you keep the 10 commandments and make sure to stone to death anyone working the sabbath... The only political systems in the bible are monarchy or theocracy, so being good Christians they went ahead and picked Greek democracy instead. Then to make sure god got his due they give all religion equal legal protection and include separation of church and state. Oh, the 10 commandments include "thou shall not kill" and as it is impossible for anyone to have figured that out any other way it must be Christian values that led the way.
Tsathoggua9
The USA is a "Christian nation" only in the sense that most all people here who are religious belong to one or another type of Christian denomination. The founders certainly did not want the country governed by Christian fanatics or extremists, that's for sure. 1
Bhim
I'm a Trump supporter and have no empathy for the kids in cages. Other people's kids aren't my problem. Ironically though, I justify my odium via my deconversion. I am not a Christian, and therefore don't believe that I am my brother's keeper. And I dismiss those who moralize at me, citing again the lack of a Christian religious basis. I'm happy for evangelicals to continue voting for my preferred politicians; specifically the ones who use foul language and grab women's p******. I just don't know how they can join me in supporting such un-Christlike behavior.

Funny to watch liberals quote the Bible to criticize immigration policy and conservatives quote the Bible to condemn abortion. As an apostate I make up my own mind on these issues and if that’s un-Christian, fuck yeah. 1 1

I love how you think my every action is motivated by my being a Hindu, and simultaneously want to import an infinite mass of Muslims. Come on TS, if you're going to hate me for being Hindu, can't you at least hate Muslims because they are Muslim? Such consistency would make all our lives a lot easier.
L.B.
It's just easier to hate religions as tools of oligarchs. That's what they are. Yeah, your grand poobah or his pope or their money-grubbing evanjellyfish preacher might be lording it over bigger or smaller flocks, and might enjoy more or fewer benefits, but every hierarchical religion has control of the masses and their resources at its core. By the way, fuck all the religious reasons for being offended by children in cages. The fact is that some asshole decided it was his prerogative to unilaterally act that way. How does such a choice benefit you, and what would stop the asshole from doing the same thing to you? Your "rights"? Hahaha...
