And also, that they still sing hymns in that church. I thought (hoped) for sure that hymns would have died with the fire and brimstone/ revival preachers and steeple-style buildings. 1989 Posted August 1, 2018 Author Share Posted August 1, 2018 Oh no, there's singing all over that church. There's no choir, so everyone sings. Then they have a solo singer. Then there's special music, though that may have dropped off, as their organ player left a few months ago. It might be cool if any one of them could sing, but only the Elder can. Everyone else sings in a typical white church fashion where you mumble through the lines until you're done. I hear there's a black family there who belts it out, but I haven't seen it.
