Ronald Reagan started out as an actor. I think he was best known for Bedtime for Bonzo if I'm not mistaken.

So why not a rapper? We've already had a black President so, that's one hurdle he won't have to overcome.

I'd vote for him before I would vote for a Hillary.

  • Thanks 1

Wasn't the Birthday Party Nick Cave's band?  It's just what we need though, another egotistical assdick President who doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

America is already the worst reality show ever. I doubt anyone can lower the bar any more.

Actually, Springer was mayor of Cincinnati from '77 to '78.  That gives him tons more experience than Trump or Kanye.  Just sayin'.

I considered that but Jerry was born in England, so no dice. When I was in school I briefly worked in the same building his law office was in. He worked very late nights and we hung out at the coffee machine sometimes. I liked him a lot, and apparently so did Cincinnati. Very popular mayor despite the scandal when he wrote a check to a whorehouse in Kentucky. A fucking check. He resigned but was brought back by popular demand. He actually wouldn't be a bad president, but the schtick he does for that stupid show of his would possibly work against him. Then again, maybe not in today's climate. At least he's smart and a hard worker.

Canadians shouldn't laugh too hard.  Greg Ford will soon be their next Prime Minister. :HaHa:

You mean Doug Ford? Yeah,  not gonna happen.

Timeline of US presidents for the next few election cycles.

2020:  Trump wins reelection.  The Democrats decided to run Bernie Sanders this time.  The fact that he lugged around a life support apparatus and kept soiling himself during debates didn't bode too well.  Trump also dropped all pretenses and chose his wig as his running mate.

2024:  Kanye West wins the election by a landslide.  This isn't due to his brilliant policy ideas nor debating skills, but mainly because the masses wanted to see Kim Kardashian as a first lady.  If you think that's far fetched, need I remind you that people are stupid enough for this https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/gofundme-page-seeks-100-million-to-make-kylie-jenner-a-billionaire/

2028:  Kanye West wins reelection because the Dems were dumb enough to run that socialist whack job Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with Opera Winfrey as a running mate.  Apparently the slogan "you get free shit, and you get free shit, everyone gets free shit" wasn't as effective as they thought.

2032:  This happens:

The US is now a live version of Idiocracy.  Somehow, conservatives will still put the blame on Obama while liberals on Bush.

Yeah, we're all screwed.

Yeah....

Maybe, but then he has a rather strong following.  Not out of the realm of reasonable possibility.  Besides, people said the same thing about Trump here.  Just saying.... :)

Wanna explain to me how he'd go about becoming the leader of the federal conservatives in time for our next election? If you seriously think that he has even a minute chance of becoming Prime Minister in 2019 then you clearly have no clue how our political system works. Strictly speaking, it's possible,  but there is no serious chance of this happening.

We can't accept the real blame. Americans are just getting dumber every year.

Personal responsibility is not politically expedient.

I don't know if Americans are getting dumber or if they're just watching too much TV.  We don't just watch our favorite stars, we worship them, sometimes to an embarrassing extent.  If Kanye wants to run, he'll win, because he's a celebrity with millions and millions of fans.  Having Kardashian is another entertainment empire, and could probably run on her own and win.  Oprah would probably win, but her popularity was waned over the years since she gave up her TV show.  I'd like to think that the Trump Presidency would be a wake up call, but it won't because we're too invested in the entertainment industry to know what's best for our country.

Leave it to America to make me wish for lawyers and politicians to take back the country. :(

Reagan actually had experience as a Governor of a state before becoming POTUS.

Trump apparently runs a successful business (Or other people do it for him)

Kayne.... Kayne thinks he's god gift to mankind. This is Kayne; ignorant, egotistical and an arsehole. You folks can keep him.

We'll have to if he gets voted in. If he runs, I guarantee we'll see a much larger black voter turnout than we did for Obama. And they won't be voting him in due to his political prowess.

I think you would have a lot of people voting for him based on the novelty aspect. Like just the IDEA of Kanye in the white house... is this special kind of hilarious that I think a lot of Americans would vote to see.
