For the X-mas carolers out there:

 

OH, LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

 

Oh, little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.

Yet in thy dark streets starteth the everlasting hoax

That through the years delights the ears of simple-minded folks.

 

For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all around,

While mortals sleep, the angels peek at that which does astound.

For people will proclaim that this is a holy birth,

Do anything their hoax to spring on folks throughout the earth.

 

Joseph worried that his virgin had been defiled.

Waxing bold Joseph she told that it was god's own child.

Joseph bought this story -- a naïve little nerd,

And so began the biggest scam the world has ever heard.
