Richard Feynman was one of the great physicists of our time. His thinking explains how a physicist thinks about reality. This video of him is great. He died in 1988 at age 69. He had a great sense of humor too, uncommon to many scientists unfortunately. These are a few of his most famous quotes: They are pretty cool I think.

"The first principle is that you must not fool yourself – and you are the easiest person to fool."

“….we must frankly admit that we do not know.”

“If you thought that science was certain - well,  that is just an error on your part.”

“I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong.”

“We are trying to prove ourselves wrong as quickly as possible, because only in that way can we find progress.”

“Scientific knowledge is an enabling power to do either good or bad — but it does not carry instructions on how to use it.”

“I would rather have questions that can't be answered than answers that can't be questioned.”

“If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don’t understand quantum mechanics”

“I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics.”

“I call myself an atheist. Agnostic for me would be trying to weasel out and sound a little nicer than I am about this.”

“Religion is a culture of faith; science is a culture of doubt.”

“God is always invented to explain those things that you do not understand.”
