I actually thought you might be serious!  Maybe I wouldn’t have if I knew you better, but in 2019 people say the darnedest things.

Here's a quote from Emperor Augustus, 18 B.C.:

If we could survive without a wife, citizens of Rome, all of us would do without that nuisance; but since nature has so decreed that we cannot manage comfortably with them, nor live in any way without them, we must plan for our lasting preservation rather than for our temporary pleasure.

We had a case of this at work just recently.  A lady who is famous for being very PC, put a complaint about the companies policy of giving people an Xmas gift which included the option of an Xmas ham as well as wine, a gift card or donating the amount.  While no Jews or Muslims had ever voiced a problem with the ham option, she was offended on their behalf saying the practice "othered" them.

So apparently I should miss out on an Xmas ham cos some religions don't agree with it, even when the followers of that religion are moderates with a live and let live mentality.

it’s very hard to determine tone with just text... so when you suggested I wanted to have sex slaves and beat people I think I responded appropriately. I’m glad you weren’t serious. The ham thieves at your work are exactly the people I want to avoid. I hate politically correct things. My college soccer team had two gay guys and we all shared a shower facility with very little privacy. I was literally the only one uncomfortable with it and everyone sorta hated me for that. My communications teacher showed a slideshow of nude women for an introduction on how to make slide shows. I was uncomfortable with that as well. The colleges are a scary place these days and I’m afraid I don’t fit in lol. I’m a bigot or sexist if I’m uncomfortable but I gotta give up my ham incase some Muslims are uncomfortable? It’s amazing how many women in this area are crazy far far left socialist types. If there’s normal atheist girls in LA I’ve never seen one lol.

See if there are any Libertarian groups.  Bound to be in a population that big.  Libertarians are big on personal freedom, not telling other people how to live - and a lot of them are non-religious!

Well if LA means Los Angeles, the population of the greater metropolitan area is over 18 million. So that means that about half are female, so there are 9 million of them. Considering that lots of those are either married, too young, or too weird, there would still be several million good ones out there. Keep looking. You'll find one.

Well there is a lesson the overtly PC have not learned yet. First noble truth, there is dukkha. As in dissatisfaction. Some things are just bound to affect you with discomfort. That is just the fact of life and especially of living together. You can minimize it to some degree but I severly doubt you can eliminate it.

By the way my exp with christian girls has been severly damaging. Sonehow religion damaged them mentally with a combination of perfectionism with lots of supressed sexual tension that erupted in weird ways, and a slight dash of reoentance mania. Abrahamic religions have this way of making you mental. Probably others too but I am better acquainted with these. I am NOT saying this ALWAYS happens but it does happen enough times to become a pattern.

Bad idea.

I was raised liberal Christian, my husband was raised in a fundamentalist family. Our marriage was great... until we had children and began to argue about how best to raise them.
The conflict increased when our two eldest children resisted the religious indoctrination, began to express opinions of their own and no longer wanted to attend church. By that time I had deconverted and my husband blamed me for leading them to hell. He reverted to the extreme fundamentalist upbringing of his nutcase family.

Long story short... we are divorcing now.

First, do not hide that you aren't christian. The emotional toll that takes is not worth someone you may be kinda/sorta interested in.

Second, go on a date with her. Ask her about her BELIEFS, not religion. They are two seperate things. Then ask her how she feels she should spread the word of her religion, which all christians are supposed to do.  If she goes with the proslytizing, in your face Im going to read scripture at you until your ears burn approach, do not pursue anything further. If she goes more towards honest theological discussion but in the end accepts that you wont change your mind, see where it goes.

Also, if you get to the point where you are considering marriage, discuss IN DETAIL how you want any children raised, if you choose to have them.  My husband is Christian, I have not been since long before I met him. I never hid it, and while he does try to convince me to go to church, in the end he (mostly) accepts that I wont. I say mostly because he doesnt understand why I wont.  We talked about how to raise our kids in regards to religion, and agreed to let them go to church so they could learn and have some basis for starting their own path.  We have never hid from them that I dont believe (bit hard since I dont attend church with them) but we have made it work for 11 years now.

It can be done, but you ha e to connect with the person on more than one or two levels, and BOTH of you need to want it to work.

Well men are sluts too you know? Not just women. Look at the Bible for proof. Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. It was very misogynist for you to say that only about women. Men aren't studs if they sleep around. I know a man who has two sexually transmitted diseases because he slutted around with too many women.

Now just keep in mind. If she is a real Christian woman then she'd still have to submit to you. Why am saying that? I don't really know to be honest.

But still I don't think it's a good idea. Fights would be bound to take place.

Few things worse than this type of people in terms of affecting everyday life.

Just think of the arrogance in assuming you have the right to be offended on behalf of others who have no issues with what you are being offended at on their behalf!

What happened? Did the company cowtow to it?

I'm just saying that most females of the human species are submissive. I'm not one of them. I've put my foot down with men more than once about how I'm not submissive. If they don't like that then they can just kiss my butt. I don't respect any man who expects me to obey him. I can't stand women who tell me I should be submissive to men either.

Actually I do fear some women. Becca Swanson. PFC Jennifer Jones. Katya Kavaleva. Etc...

😲

But your average woman? Hell NO. I don't fear them.

I'm not sure. Certainly it was the first Xmas in 20 years that the company didn't give an Xmas gift to staff, but the reason could be that they are tight, or that they thought giving a donation to the Ozzie fire relief fund was instead of gifts. No good reason but multi-choice on the bad ones.
