Crazy Feminists/ Feminazis

I think this should answer your questions about what a Feminazi is. Now I agree women should be treated equally and have equal rights as men. But please realize ladies equal rights come with equal lefts. 👊🤣 Scary isn't she? 😬

Also important to note. I hate misogyny just as much. I hate men who abuse, and kill girls and women. I hate when men oppress girls and women. If I could I'd defend those girls and women as best as I could. I am a woman too after all. So please don't be offended. Just had to let you all know. This is coming from an egalitarian androgyne who is biologically a woman. Both biological sexes should respect each other. We need each other after all. It doesn't matter what both sexes claim.

Peace.

I agree. I'm a sex positive feminist and oppose slut shaming and kink shaming. That is one of the reasons I am a feminist.

I'm with you there. I have always hated the girls are sluts/guys are studs and men are assertive/women are b****** nonsense.

We are all just people. At work my 2 best friends are a Sikh guy who makes Scots look like teetotallers when it comes to whisky and a nominally catholic woman who has a wicked sense of humour that can make even me blush.

I look up to both (even though 1 is junior to me) and just see 2 hard working family people, and neither their sex or religion matters to me. They're just friends.

I realise I'm just having a bit of a rant, so, to get back on topic, as Freedwoman says "Both biological sexes should respect each other", which is absolutely the right attitude.

Wow... I thought I'd seen crazy feminists before but to call for mass murder knocks this right off the extreme end of the scale. I'm almost thinking maybe its a parody, just a joke video cut short... But never underestimate the crazy.

That is one problem with the label feminist, that it can be applied to a range of ideas so in itself doesn't tell you what someone thinks. In the Western world we have come a long way with equality under the law, in ownership, in voting and in education, and the majority of people want equality to continue to be a foundation of society. There are some who will argue it should be more one way or the other, but those voices are a small minority. Those asking for mass murder are a tiny sub-set of that tiny group.

You know you are doing something wrong when ISIS think you are going too far.

I think this may be her later video where after the one minute mark she comments on the video being a "joke". Not a very good one though in my opinion.

With all due respect I think she's lying about not being serious. I think she meant it. She's just covering her ass. She doesn't want to get in any legal trouble. Some nasty men kill little girls for being girls. She is on the opposite of the extreme. I apologize for being controversial. I just think she meant it. But if I'm wrong I apologize for that too.

I just think all humans deserve respect at birth.

🙂✌️

This person calling herself Jenny McDermott isn't a really clever witty vlogger and she takes outrageous inflammatory positions (probably to attract subscribers) but if this killing were her position actually it would of course be blatantly, call out the SWAT team type, illegal so it is reasonable to suspect that this video wasn't intended to promote the killing of all males. In 1729 Jonathan Swift (anonymously) wrote a famous satirical essay titled A Modest Proposal that suggested selling children of the Irish poor to the rich to be eaten as a food delicacy. It was very well done and his purpose was to draw attention to the plight of the impoverished in Ireland but still the idea of a very outrageous horrifying totally illegal proposition written as satire is not unheard of. I think it is very likely that she didn't picture women arming themselves and heading out the door on a killing spree once they had seen her video. I do think it is most likely that this nearly 3 year old video of hers was a poorly done, not well considered attempt at satire but you wouldn't need to apologize to her or anyone for misunderstanding it. (If I am correct about this.)

She could have meant she wanted to have all male babies aborted? Abortion is legal.

There's one certain thing about crazy people of any stripe spouting off: they are attention seekers, and they gain victory when we do exactly what they want, ie pay attention to their nutty theories. Unfortunately the age of the internet enables this. Before that, they were just the crazies spouting off on Street corners, and you'd walk by, eye roll, and that was that.

I dunno... I think I'm calling POE on that one. She is either a poe, or she's really really dumb. It doesn't take much biological knowledge to figure out all men dead also equals all women dead within a generation.

I think remarks from Anita Sarkisien are worse where she says all men are rapists. She actually means that, and she has a following. She's the type I refer to when I say "Feminazi"

I don't like the term as it can be misused, ie applied as a blanket label to feminists, and some will explicitly do that.

Crazy freaks sounds better to my ear. Anyone wanting to label 50% of the population rapists, generalize about them and kill them all is sheer fuck nuts crazy.

Yes, but we don't stop using descriptive labels because they are either misused or not liked.

Not really. Crazy freak could also apply to the flat earther steam rocket man. It doesn't really tell you very much.

Feminazi is an apt descriptor of the type of person who identifies as a feminist, but endorses the type of policies that the Nazi's used to. The include, but not limited to: Gendercide, group persecution, social authoritarian dictate. Anita for example want's to ban a number of things like pornography, certain games among other things. She want's to take choice away from people and decide what YOU can do and watch and play based on HER subjective preferences. Anita doesn't just want to dismantle the patriarchy, she wants to punish all men in the process. And she's not alone.

I think a key thing to remember is that the term has always been a pejorative. It's not properly a descriptive label. It's a bit like "libtard". Sure, an argument can be made that there are some people who might fit the literal meaning of the term, but the term was never supposed to be literal.

In general, I don't think using pejoratives is helpful.

I understand your point, but terms like atheist was originally a pejorative (as was big bang" but are now used as descriptors.

What's worse? Saying "That person is a feminazi wanting to kill all men like that" or "That person is a crazy arse feminist wanting to kill all men like that"

The problem with the second line I think is that it tends to lump all feminists in together unfairly, whereas the first one makes a clear distinction of what is being talked about.

Also we have no issue with using labels like Christbots, or deluded relgo-nuts when describing some of the totally bat shit stuff we see and hear from Christians.

Now if you hold that no pejorative at anytime is acceptable, at least you are consistent, but most people are like we can make fun of this group.... but you leave my group alone.

This conversation could get really deep into the meaning of labels, their usefulness, and their detrimental aspects. I was just running through a few more examples in my mind. We'll see where this goes.

Yes, but again, there is a key difference: atheists have long since embraced the term, and hence it is no longer inherently a pejorative. "Feminazi" is very much a pejorative right now. "Atheist" is not.

I would say the former is worse, depending on the delivery and the way in which it is understood. I personally would probably use a term like "feminist extremist", or perhaps even "anti-male extremist". That, I think, would avoid the issues associated with both of your proposed options.

I won't say that I never use pejoratives, but I do try not to in general. I don't find terms like "Christbot" to be particularly helpful either. Again, I won't say I never use them, but I don't think I'm at my best when I do.

Yes, I agree, most people do tend to behave in ways that suggest that they believe that it is acceptable to mock other groups,  but not their own. I personally think it is ok to mock all groups, including the groups that I'm a part of. But to use pejoratives is not merely to mock, it is to express contempt. That is another key difference.

No it doesn't. Not everyone is aware of where terms originated and where the clear distinction is. I'm not, or wasn't, with feminazi. It's my opinion that it's way too inflammatory as it is a perjorative, as stated. The alternative suggestions put forth by @disillusioned are a lot clearer as to the meaning. Shouldn't we all attempt to use clarity in language as much as possible? The water really gets muddy with perjoratives.

I do think it's helpful.

Pejoratives make people display more or less butthurt. If that butthurt it's out of proportion, you know not to take what they say too seriously.

As for those who are slightly less butthurt: come on! It's just words. They can't hurt anyone unless they're written as policy or something. When a word doesn't have such official impact, just ignore the mischief and take the neutral meaning of the word and continue the discussion based on that.
