Goodbye Jesus

If the shoe fits

Did Jesus actually live up to his own teaching? Let's examine this topic, and see if he really fits the bill.

I now throw open the thread for your opinions.

I think there's many instances where jesus contradicts himself. But, the reason is obvious. The only jesus we know of is a literary character. One writer has jesus saying one thing, another writer sees jesus saying something completely different, often contradicting. Who or what an historical jesus may have been is lost to time. We only have these contradicting stories to go by for historicity and anything else.

That is true.

If jesus was god, how did he forsake himself on the cross?  Split personality?

And also if Jesus took the sins of the world to the cross, then technically didn't he have to have those sins in him to accomplish that?

God can do anything except be logically consistent.
