When I looked at the story in the context of that day and age (if the story is true)(and he actually existed) I developed a respect. Especially after reading the Gnostic Gospels. I would say that's because you have removed a fairly large part of your belief system. So in techo babble, you are missing him because you are missing certain neural pathways that interconnected with those area's of your brain the belief needed to convince you it loved you.
